| This photo could easily be taken more then 50 years ago. Ae 4/4 # 251 of the BLS from 1944 with an international L?tschberg-Simplon train, with SBB rebuild cars from the 1950', on the Bogna bridge in Domodossola/Italy. The train of the "Centralbahn" from Germany came from Basel Bad Bf via Olten-Thun-L?tschberg mountain line-Brig and through the more then 19 kilometer long Simplon tunnel. The locomotive is on loan and operated by association Extrazug.ch in Langnau, the former SBB cars were long time with association Nostalgie-Rhein-Express (NRE) in Basel, but now running for the "Centralbahn" in Germany. |
