"Stacks on the Southern Tier"
As train traffic slowed for the holiday weekend, CSX saw fit to replace signals on the Mohawk Sub. While low priority trains were not an issue, three hot intermodals were detoured over the Susquehanna to still make service and not interfere with the upgrades. Detours on the Susquehanna are tricky to track as they can depart immediately or sit for hours depending on crew availability. Fortunately for us, the latter of the two was the case on this day allowing the detoured Q156 to run down the Southern Tier in beautiful morning light. |
