SP’s Train 12 “Cascade” left Eugene, Oregon five minutes ago before it picked up train orders at Burma where new CTC signals were being installed. It’s now 6:20 a.m. and the Alco PA’s have 121 more miles to reach destination Portland on March 30, 1964. Burma was the yard limits of Eugene.
