"Rail Train on the Susquehanna"
After running on original Lehigh & Hudson River rails for years, in 2012 the NYS&W decided it was time for upgrades. The railroad took delivery of 3 continuous welded rail trains in the beginning of 2012 to begin the upgrades along the Southern Divison. These upgrades would allow trains to travel at speeds of 30-35 MPH in areas they were previously restricted to 20-25 MPH. In this scene, WS-6 is dragging one of these rail trains back to Sparta Junction where it will spend the night to allow the evening SU-100 through later that evening. |
