    Remarks & Notes
Green Bay and Western RS-20 #308

This engine was one of four Alco RS-3's (built in 1955) which were rebuilt with a 2000 horsepower generator and a low front nose by the GB&W's Norwood Shop crew. The controls were also rearranged so that the short low hood was now the front of the engine. It is privately owned and stored serviceable at Monticello Railway Museum. (The owner plans on eventually painting the loco into the GBW red/grey with grey trucks.) One of many, many engines you can find on display at the Monticello Railway Museum!
