611 poses briefly with two stablemates, Sourthen FP7 #6133 and ACL 501, both residents of the NC Transportation Museum. ACL E-3 #501 had been given a decal to appear as a N&W engine.
As the years go by, more and more steam engines are being restored and operating therefore the old expression "steam is dead" is nothing but a false expression. Steam is strong and still ruling the rails.
