"NJ Transit Teams up with the NYS&W"
After spending the weekend in Port Jervis, NY the FRA inspection train is seen leaving town behind an unlikely duo for power. The train was scheduled to run on the M&NJ Hudson Secondary and NYS&W Southern Division, however the train would require an NJT crew to ferry the train from Port Jervis to Campbell Hall. While it would seem easier to run the train with just the NYS&W SD60, the transit crew was not qualified to operate the engine yielding the unique opportunity to shoot an NJ Transit engine working with an NYS&W engine. |
