The first train for this unique steam locomotive after it restoration, finished in 2015. The engine is built in 1931 by the polish locomotive factory "H. Cegielski" SP.AKC. in Poznan. It's custom built for the Bulgarian railways. In the early 70's 46.03 was taken out of service and declared as a museum locomotive. In 2014 it restoration began, and was finished in the end of May, 2015. So, on May 25 the engine was on a speed test, and on the next day - on a load test with 320 t train on a 25 ‰ gradient towards Vakarel station. On the photo the locomotive is passing through Pobit kamak stop.
As the years go by, more and more steam engines are being restored and operating therefore the old expression "steam is dead" is nothing but a false expression. Steam is strong and still ruling the rails.
