The three cogwheel motor coaches ABDeh 8/8 2041 - 2043 were built in 1960 for then "Brig-Visp-Zermatt" Railway. Modern trains are now in charge, and the services for these older trains are no longer needed. While Numbers 2041 and 2043 are long gone, 2042 was still used as last reserve. In April 2014 it was used for a photoshoot for railway fans, as this might have been the last time, an ABDeh 8/8 could be seen. The motorcoach was withdrawn shortly thereafter.
