On June 11, 2015 two pieces of equipment belonging to the United Railroad Historical Society were transported by rail to the yard in a rather unusual fashion. The "lead" unit was Erie SW9 #436, however the power was coming from NS 3010 making it appear the Erie SW9 was leading a road freight in 2015. In this scene the train is passing Esting Lake in Denville, NJ on a gorgeous June morning.
This gallery contains photos of equipment and properties that became, were and used to be part of the Erie Lackawanna Railroad. This gallery also contains photos of equipment paying tribute to the EL or its predecessors.
