A magical place where stepping back in time happens daily from May to October each year in Chama, New Mexico. The passenger train has arrived and the crew now begins the task of servicing the cars and switching out the consist so the train is ready to depart eastward the following morning. The C&TS is no different than other railroads with periods of hurry up and wait as we see the engineer assume the position as other members of the crew are hard at work servicing the cars. We are looking out the bay window of the Chama depot and just below out of view is the dispatcher's desk complete with timetable, train sheet, phone and radio, the necessary tools of the trade needed to keep track of everything and trains running on time.
