| Eurostar power car No 3216 leads the 07.02 St.Pancras International, London to Paris Nord service. In the background three lines of lorries (trucks) can be seen parked on the M20 Motorway blocking both carriageways while waiting to cross the English Channel to France. This is known as 'Operation Stack' which is brought in when there are heavy delays either in the Channel Tunnel or to ferries from Dover to Calais. This time it was striking seamen blockading the Port of Calais. |
