Here's where No.3 track (on the left) - the lengthy low-grade crossing of Sherman Hill that was constructed in the early 1950s - rejoins the other main tracks via Sherman. The railroad narrows to two main tracks through the Hermosa Tunnels and then back to three mains toward Laramie. We're approaching a double yellow, approach medium, indicating that our train will cross over at Hermosa (see photo 530011).
