NS Heritage on the National Docks

      

      
The Savannah & Atlanta heritage unit became the first NS heritage unit to lead a freight out of Oak Island yard and across the massive Upper Bay Bridge. While both NS and CSX have haulage rights out of OI, this unit came into the yard on a CSX train and instead of being handed back to NS was assigned to the Oak Island-Selkirk manifest Q434. The Upper Bay Bridge dwarfs both the train and plane in this image.
