In addition to running a beautifully restored car from what was claimed to be the smallest street railway in the British Empire prior to its abandonment in 1947, Nelson's tourist tramway's western turning loop is only a few feet from the end of the city's small airport (CZNL), hence the high-visibility stripes and beacon on the overhead support poles.
