Remarks & Notes

An ADL/ADC class DMU departs Britomart station, passing a billboard promoting the new EMU sets they are about to be replaced with. These railcars entered service on the Perth suburban network in Western Australia in 1982, before being shipped to New Zealand a decade later to join the Auckland suburban fleet. Just under a week after I took this photo electric trains took over all Auckland suburban services.
