| Former Portland Traction Co. SW-1 100 rests on a quite Sunday morning adjacent to the Oregon Pacific shops. The little unit was acquired in February 1952 to replace PRTD electric freight motors and it served the railroad well until it was sold off in the 1980s. Several years later the unit was reacquired by the Oregon Pacific, current owner of the remaining Portland Traction line. It now has the distinction of operating on the line for which it was built, over 60 years later. |
