Remarks & Notes

A northbound GG1-powered Metroliner passes through Aberdeen, observed by a young man on a bike. The 40-year old electrics were pressed into this high-speed service when the original Metroliner MU cars began to have reliability issues in the late 70s. Note the head-end power car on the rear of the train, converted from an old coach. Date is approximate.
