Two ex-New York Central rotary plows survived into Conrail’s roster. The first, NYC X-659, built by Leslie in 1889, became PC/Conrail 64599 and survives unrestored in the Buffalo area. The second, NYC X-660, built by Alco in 1926, became PC/Conrail 60021. Both were converted from steam to diesel-electric in the 1950’s. Here, 60021 shines in new paint at Dewitt, NY in 1979. This plow was later scrapped.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
