Remarks & Notes

The red-orange-blue nose treatment of the Metroliners was certainly eye-catching. Note the third car on this southbound train, which has been rebuilt to move equipment to the roof out of the dust stream. The crossing here was four-lanes, with four crossing gate arms; track speed was about 100-110 mph southbound. Photo date is approximate.
