Winters Rigging crews have positioned the 154-ton Amtrak P42DC #102 inline with the rails for a flatcar to be moved under the damaged locomotive at Northfield, Vermont. The 102 was the locomotive on the October 5 Vermonter derailment that saw the locomotive hit a rock slide then careen over a steep embankment. Crews loaded the 102 on a heavy-duty flatcar and New England Central Railroad transported it to Montpelier Jct., VT, where it was additionally secured in preparation for movement to Beech Grove, IN.
