Having passed the Pawling Fire Department hundreds of times on the train located in South Pawling, it is easy to overlook a special monument in front of the fire house. Donated by the Port Authority of NY&NJ, the monument is recovered steel from the World Trade Center and serves as a memory of the 2,752 victims whom lost their lives during September 11, 2001.
