| Passing the endangered Lachine Spur. CN 704 is slowly departing Turcot West in Montreal after getting a new crew on a sunny morning. Power is a brand new at the time ES44AC and a somewhat older one (CN 2926 & CN 2879). Of note is that CN 2926 had been renumbered from CN 3026 recently. At left is the CN Lachine Spur. Apparently yesterday was the last trip that the local CN switcher would take to Canadian Allied Diesel and with no other clients online and major infrastructure work in this area in the near future, the line will not be kept. |
