You never knew what would show up on the Lachine Spur. Back when it was in use, you never knew what engines would be ferrying to or from Canadian Allied Diesel on CN's Lachine spur. CN 2684 was the DPU on CN 308 which derailed in Plaster Rock, New Brunswick on Jan. 7th 2014 and is heading to CAD (Canadian Allied Diesel) for much needed repairs. One crewmember is about to dismount the engine to flag the crossing. The last train operated on this line last week and the tracks have been partially pulled up. Click here for a shot of the engine freshly repainted and in service in January 2015.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
Photographs where trains and people mix, weather it's street running, plant switching or carrying a unit grain train out of an elevator, it will be put here.
