The sole-surviving Class 17 locomotive was a leading attraction at the Severn Valley Railway's Diesel Enthusiasts' Gala on 1-3 October 2015.  The loco is seen heading the 16:06 departure from Bridgnorth on the Friday. It last visited the line in 1998, then running on one engine only.
