Connor locomotive shed is on Niligiri Mountain Railways which has been added to World heritage site by UNESCO. It maintains meter gauge, X-class steam as well as diesel locomotives. It houses old equipment like chain pulley block and old crane. Seen in this picture is newly modified Oil fired , live steam loco being ready for the service. Also seen is another oil fired X-class loco resting in shed. Few spare connecting rods are seen on the ground. On right is Bio-diesel operated meter gauge diesel locomotive that is used on steep gradient in Mettupalaiyam to Udagamandalam section.
