A San Luis Central “100 year anniversary special” enters the small yard at the end of the line at Center, Colorado, on September 1, 2013. The special is powered by San Luis and Rio Grande 2-8-0 No. 18, specially lettered and renumbered for the occasion. Looks like a pretty good vertical curve over the crossing the passenger cars are negotiating! The locomotive will run around the train here and take the special back to Monte Vista.
