| As the light fades early in the evening, Roanoke bound manifest 188 passes the dual-mast & single-mast CPL's at McCarr just east of Matewan. The eastbound replacement signals are already in place, while the mast for the westbound signal bridge stands just out of frame to the left, with the bridge itself waiting at the depot in Matewan for the dreaded cutover day soon approaching. |
