| The Southern Pacific searchlight signals seem to be falling faster than the golden brown leaves along the Shasta Route. Signal replacement gangs have continued to push north towards Conant. Once the stretch between Lakehead and Conant is replaced, there will no longer be any of these signals on the Valley Subdivision. Pictured above, the southbound Brooklyn Trailers pass a set of intermediate signals near Delta, deep in the Sac River Canyon. |
