D&RGW Work Extra 463 West. A D&RGW MOW Extra works its way west toward a construction site near Sublette, NM. In the consist today are Pile Driver OB and Derrick OP, as well as a number of tool, supply and outfit cars that will be needed to support the construction crew that will be living out in the wilderness for a couple of days.

On October 3rd of 2015, the Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad organized a Maintenance of Way Photo Charter, to give the membership and interested photographers a chance to see some of the recently restored MOW equipment in action out on the rails. The power on this train was D&RGW K-27 #463, which the Friends also had a big hand in restoring. This particular photo spot is just a couple of miles east of the Section House Complex in Sublette, NM.
