Despite the looks of things on the date it occurred, most would think that this is the ORHF's annual Holiday Express. That is not the truth. This past October, PRPA-founder and SP&S 700 volunteer Chris McLarney passed away without pain from complications relating to cancer. In remembrance to the dedication he had towards the locomotive, all HE runs were halted for the day. The 700 pulled a short train with McLarney's friends and family as passengers, which is seen here just south of its departure point outside the Oregon Rail Heritage Center.
