| Westbound at Bowker on the CP Nipigon Subdivision. This was the site of a serious derailment in 2001 when an eastbound grain train came down Bowker Hill a bit too fast and hit this curve at the bottom. There were several contributing factors. The TSB report makes interesting reading. Google "R01W0007". One result was the clearing of trees from the area during cleanup, making this shot possible. |
