      Remarks & Notes
BNSF Railway train M-BARWAT1-12A (Regular Merchandise; Barstow CA to Watson CA) departed Summit before our train (BNSF O-SBDSBD2-12A, the 2015 California Division Christmas Train) did, but as we approached CP Walker (named for long-time Santa Fe agent Chard Walker, who lived and worked at Summit for decades), our passenger extra has overtaken the freight. The train to Watson Yard is one of the few on this part of the BNSF that is not an intermodal train, and today it is powered by ES44DCs 7971, 7750, 7743 and 7717, along with new ET44C4 3924.

Whether applied to locomotives or cars, stainless steel provides a distinctive finish.
