    Remarks & Notes
"PATH 143 Arrives at it's New Home " The second of only two PATH (Port Authority Trans-Hudson) railcars to survive the fall of the World Trade Center, PATH #143, arrives at the Kingston Trolley Museum with a full escort from emergency services. PATH #143 , a Hawker-Siddeley PA-3, was parked in the PATH station under the World Trade Center on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001. On Feb. 22, 2002, the subway car was pulled from a cast-iron tunnel by cable and lifted by crane onto a truck. It was taken to Hangar 17 at Kennedy International Airport, where other surviving items were stored. On the night of December 15th, 2015 the railcar was trucked by Silk Road Transport from JFK to the New Jersey side of the George Washington Bridge. The following morning the rest of the journey to Kingston Trolley Museum was completed, ending with a ceremony. This video displays most of the journey. PATH 143 is now currently in the process of being restored to display condition.
