      Remarks & Notes
On June 26th, 1982, Union Pacific TE83-6S 63 sits in pieces as it receives an overhaul at the railroad's Salt Lake City diesel shops. UP SD45s 60-65 were rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen in Boise, Idaho, during 1980 to 1982 with Sulzer diesel engines from Switzerland as part of a test program. Look carefully at the carbody below the gaping hole in the long hood, and you can see where the carbody was widened by another two inches. UP 63 was built by EMD in April 1968 as UP 3613. It was later renumbered to UP 13, in October 1978. On July 8th, 1999, the engine would be renumbered once again to UP 4758.
