| Despite most weather forecasts saying otherwise, January 2nd was a crystal clear day in the Idaho Panhandle. On this spectacular day, a westbound unit grain train rumbles across the Pack River Fill on Montana Rail Link's 4th Sub, with the snowy face of Grief Mountain behind. The low water level of Lake Pend Oreille has left the mouth of the Pack River looking like a barren tundra. |
