      Remarks & Notes
In May 1993, KCS had taken over, but there were still lots of MidSouth units around, with solid sets still fairly common. It appeared that perhaps there was some effort - at least in the early days after the takeover - to avoid mixing dissimilar types, so Meridian-Shreveport trains in pre-Raceway days often had all MidSouth Paducahs, or all GP40s. The intermodal flood had not begun, and C-C power had not yet taken over.
