| Here is another "victim" of the opening of the Hokkaido shinkansen. The luxury sleeper "Cassiopeia" will be also withdrawn by 20th of March, 2016, when the final tests of the Seikan-tunnel and the new shinkansen line begins. Starting from 2017, the JR East will operate a brand new luxury cruise train called "Train Suite Shikishima", which will be the JR East's cruise train after JR West's "Twilight Express Mizukaze" and JR Kyushu's "Seven Stars in Kyushu". |
