Pan Am's business train passes former JV Tower in Johnsonville, NY as it heads east from Mechanicville, New York. This is the location where the Boston and Maine's Troy Branch once joined the current Freight Main (the Troy Branch would have been in the foreground of this photo). The B&M's passenger service to Troy ended in 1958, and its freight service ended in 1971, shortly after which the line was removed.
This album seeks to portray classic New England and Upstate New York imagery. It showcases the most perfect examples of regional identity, with special attention to structures and landscape.
