Traveling along historic Route 66 out of Barstow, this scene presented itself and demanded that I pull over a take a few shots of this eastbound BNSF stack train passing through Hodge, CA on its way to Barstow and points beyond.
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
