Union Pacific’s West Local departs Leyden, Colorado, on September 20, 2001. Powering the local is three Rio Grande EMD GP40-2s, Nos. 3121, 3128 and 3100—and they have a tank car for Chem Spur, and 14 covered hoppers for the aggregates plant at the end of Rocky Spur.
