Remarks & Notes

After Philip Anschutz acquired the D&RGW and the SP, one of his first missions was to lay fiber optic cable along the D&RGW right of way from Denver to Salt Lake City. With an SD-40-2T from each railroad, the cable laying train was working through Arvada, Colo. on April 19, 1993.
