Former Rock Island, then Grand Trunk Western GP38-2s DWP 5853 and DWP 5850 head a transfer through the west end of Duluth towards downtown for interchange with Duluth connections. The train is on BN trackage at this point. GTW sent these Geeps to DWP in March 1983, then took them back in 1986 after major terminal changes were made to DWP in Duluth/Superior. They replaced the last Alco RS-11s on DWP when they arrived.
