| After two days of freezing rain, everything but the train is covered in icy crystals, including even the dead weed stumps that line the track bed - providing a sparkling path in the morning sunshine. Crew members have just been through some of the most surreal frost-encrusted countryside - rarely seen in Southern Ontario - punctuated by reports of heavily drooping and broken trees over the tracks - keeping MofW crews hopping over the Easter Weekend. There's so much solid ice on the ground, I had to 'punch' holes to get my tripod legs to touch ground. |
