Those who frequent the Hudson Line know that almost every single train is a passenger train, and any that is locomotive powered has one engine. Here we capture the exception proving the general rule at the Riverdale (Metro-North station) as P32DM 704 (Phase III) leads a the triumvirate on 3/28/2016 on Amtrak Train #242. The trailing P32DM 713/P42DC 108 are really just riding along down to New York Penn Station for ACESS testing, but it gives the front end a very impressive look.
The GE Genesis series are well known for being Amtrak's locomotive. With confirmation of retirement from Amtrak themselves, their time is limited. Now is your chance to catch them before the chargers arrive!
