| This is something quite unique!
The classy "Pacific" steam locomotive 231K8 is seen today on the dual gauge line of the "Réseau des Bains de mer" between Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme and Noyelles-sur-Mer during the Festival of Steam 2016 of the CFBS (Chemin de Fer de la Baie de Somme).
#231K8 was built in 1912 by Henschel for the PLM (Paris-Lyon-Méditerranée). It is now preserved by the MFPM preservation society: "Matériel Ferroviaire Patrimoine National", which means "Railroad Rolling Stock National Heritage". |
