    Remarks & Notes
With “Starvation Peak” in the distance, and an electrifying thunderstorm churning overhead, Amtrak’s Phase I Heritage unit #156 leads Amtrak’s Southwest Chief past a set of semaphore signals. Located in Chapelle, NM and having stood the test of time, featured are only 2 of several operational signals that reside alongside the Glorieta/Raton Subdivisions.

Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
