On 1st june, the world's longest railway tunnel was officially inaugurated, the 57 kilometer long Gotthard Base Tunnel through the Alps from Erstfeld to Bodio. The very first train which run from north to south was this Intercity tilt train ICN (2 trainsets in multiple), which brought about 700 people, who got a free ticket through a lottery, in the Ticino. At 12.49 PM the train is leaving the east bore in Pollegio near Bodio, accompanied by some fireworks.
