In December 2015 I partook in a southwestern US roadtrip. Here a westbound manifest soldiers through the never at Julesburg under the original, 1920's-era hooded searchlights. These may look like modern vaders, but this is not so. Looking decades ahead of their time at their inception, the likes of famous UP steamers, then diesels, plied the plains knocking down these relics for decades.
