Diesel locomotive Am 843 # 014 of SBB infrastructure on the Gotthard mountain line below Gurtnellen, with a very special car: The Xas 99 85 9383 231-9 with a folded gate for the Gotthard Base Tunnel. This gate, called "Mobiles Erhaltungs Tor" (MET) (mobile maintenance door), constructed by the firm Nencki AG from Langenthal, is used to completely close the bore of the tunnel when blowing fresh air into the tunnel on one side and draining polluted/stagnant/hot air on the other side during maintenance works. When no trains are bringing new fresh air into the tunnel, the temperatures can easily reach 40 degree Celsius (104 F). For maintenance works, there are allowed 28 Celsius (82 F) only.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
